After various roles in translation rights, literary scouting and ESL teaching in Korea, Christabel joined David Higham Associates in 2018. The agency was established in 1935 and, among its award-winning roster of children’s authors and illustrators, counts Cressida Cowell, Liz Pichon and Jacqueline Wilson. Christabel is currently building a list of children’s authors and illustrators across all age ranges. In picture books, she enjoys clever twists that make her laugh aloud, and acute observation of the world through a child’s eyes – particularly if it brings a warm glow or a tear to her eye.
